  1. My mom, who has endured so much in her life such as violence, the death of her twin at birth, the death of her brother, the death of her sister in Jan, and sexual assault by an intruder, is by far the strongest(!!) person I know and the only role model I will ever need in my life, even as I myself enter motherhood one day.

  9. Motherhood...

(sung to the tune of I WILL SURVIVE)...

At first I was a baby...
    then I grew a lot...
    then I went through drink...
and I threw up a lot...
    now I'm a mom...
and I get thrown on instead...
    but I'll survive...
    I will survive...

  10. I have brought many babies into this world and every single time I am struck by the wonder and awe of watching a woman become a mother in that moment when her baby gives that first cry...the transformation is beautiful and the unconditional love she has oozes from her...KUDOS TO ALL MOTHERS!!!!

  11. My little one was born on 32weeks and 1.72kg. Since his birth I've learned so many lessons about motherhood and everyday I'm still learning. But there is nothing in this world that I would exchange for motherhood :) I find this following so true : "Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs in my field, since the payment is pure love" By Mildred B Vermont

  12. God could not be everywhere, so he made Mother's to help him. A mother's love is where your heart and home is.

  13. I never knew that one can love so deeply and have tears in your eyes each time you have to describe the little miracle that took your life over - to experience pure love, you have to be a mom!

  14. AS A MOTHER/PARENT YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SHORT MEMORY AND THICK SKINNED EVEN AS YOUR CHILDREN ARE ADULTS (27 AND 24)

  16. God doesn't require us to succeed; he only requires that you try.

    {Thanks Mom for having faith in me... it got me to the point of trying. And thank you for standing by my side to see it to the end no matter how bumpy the road less travelled}

  17. My mother is my mentor, my role model, my conscience... If I can be only half the mom my mother is, I will still be a good mom.

  18. It's only when you have to take care of your mother during a brain operation that you realise a lot of your womanhood / motherhood is locked in her existance. She created you as child, wife, daughter and mother. My mom is really special, she lost a great deal of her current memory after the operation but remembers my childhood as clear as day. Great for a scrapbooker like me...

  19. In the eyes of a child, you rank right up there under God. You have all the power to heal a hurt, scare away the monsters under the bed, patch a broken heart, police a slumber party, ground them forever, and love them without limits, so one day they will, like you, love without counting the cost. Motherhood is a gift, one i am glad i got.

  20. My mom is my best friend, even when we drive each other insane (which is often as we are so alike), I always know that she is there if I need a shoulder to cry on, a cup of coffee or just a pep me up chat! Our cellphone "traffic" chats on the way home from work are one of the best ways to end my day.

  21. Motherhood is not only a joy and a gift from God but totally heart-wrenching when your children experience one of life's cruel blows from being excluded at playschool to not winning an award they've worked so hard for or that first broken heart.
